Last night we saw the season premiere of the seventh season of Project Runway. I was thrilled to see that the show had back its same look and personality from seasons past. It’s set in New York again and it’s amazing how the feel of the show changed. I missed it last season!
The new designers are awesome! Every single one of them is very talented and it’s going to be amazing to see who wins. The competition is going to be “fierce!”

My favorite designers’ personalities are Anthony and Ping. Both are very unique and have cool personalities. However, I’m not too sure that I appreciate Ping’s design aesthetic. Her garment looked like a bunch of fabric that was just thrown at the model. Perhaps I’ll understand better as the season goes on.
After Heidi Klum & Tim Gunn greeted the designers on the roof with the customary toast, they got settled in and ready for the first challenge.

The next morning, they met Tim in Central Park and had three minutes to dash & grab all the Mood fabric they could. Then Tim gave them a couple of minutes to edit down to the best 5 fabrics for their first garment. They were given one day to create a garment that fully shows their unique design style.
I’ve included photos of all of the runway garments for you to enjoy, but my personal favorite was Emilio’s dress. His was the challenge winner, giving him immunity. But I also liked the garments by Maya, SethAaron, Jonathan & Anna
I expected either Ping or Christiane to go home. But the judges saw something in Ping’s garment that they liked so the one to go home first was Christiane.

I thought it was fun to have Nicole Richie as a guest judge this week. She seems so sweet. Even when she had criticism, she said it in a kind way. I really liked her as a judge.
I loved this episode! What did you think of the new group of designers? I’d love to hear your thoughts!
Models of the Runway 2: Meet the New Models

Last sesson’s Project Runway gave us a great bonus show to watch right afterward. For all the seasons of the series, we’ve known that the models were also in a competition, but didn’t see them much or get to know then at all. Models of the Runway showed us their lives during the season and how they each agonized over their designer’s results each week.
Even though Models fo the Runway isn’t nearly as interesting as Project Runway, it still gives us more to watch regarding the entire competition. I liked it and look forward to the second season, premiering right after Project Runway tomorrow night on Lifetime.
Here are the new models for this season:

The seventh season of Project Runway premieres again this Thursday. The show heads back to New York City for this season and has a more international cast than ever before. I wonder how it will affect the designs and the drama. I can’t wait to find out!

Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains – Meet the Villains

This season, the Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains logo has three new words that describe the game. Instead of the usual Outwit, Outlast, Outplay the logo has these words for us: Return, Revenge, Redemption. And here are the Villains that will make these words come to life.

TYSON APOSTOL
Age: 30
Hometown: Lindon, Utah
Current Residence: Heber City, Utah
Previous Finishes: Tocantins, 8th Out
I’ve talked to Tyson about his time on Survivor and he was just as arrogant and self-important as he seemed on the show. If it’s an act, he’s very good at it.

RUSSELL HANTZ
Age: 37
Hometown: Dayton, Texas
Current Residence: Dayton, Texas
Previous Finishes: Samoa, Runner-Up
OK, you know him and you either love him or you hate him. I’m among the people who don’t like Russell at all. My friend Betsy thinks he’s great. That’s how people are about him. When Betsy talked to him at the Survivor: Samoa after party, she told him that to her, he’s the “Sole Survivor.” He thanked her, but laughed and told her that he wouldn’t be giving her the $100,000. At least he has a sense of humor.

I’m already getting very excited about the new season of Survivor! It should be a very interesting one, since the 20 former Survivors we’ll see return to the show are all very memorable. Some of them I’ve had the opportunity to meet and I’ll let you know my impressions about them if I have.
Here’s a photo, some brief info and commentary as well as a short video clip for each of the Heroes we’ll see this season:

RUPERT BONEHAM
Age: 45
Hometown: Indianapolis, Ind.
Current Residence: Indianapolis, Ind.
Previous Finishes: Pearl Islands, 8th Out, All-Stars, 15th Out, 6th Jury Member
Rupert is not only one of the warmest, friendliest former Survivors I’ve met so far, but he also has a heart of gold. He heads a non-profit organization that helps at-risk young people. His organization also helps young people coming out of incarceration to get acclimated and ready to live a positive life on the outside. He’s the winner of $1 million as the fan favorite.

JAMES CLEMENT
Age: 32
Hometown: Lafayette, La.
Current Residence: Malibu, Calif./Lafayette, La.
Previous Finishes: China, 10th Out, Micronesia, Injured, Jury Member
I haven’t had the pleasure of meeting James so far, but My friend Betsy has. She tells me that he is very modest and friendly. He got his incredible physique by working as a grave digger, and he is certainly not hard to watch on the show!
Meet the Survivors: Heroes vs. Villians

On last night’s People’s Choice Awards show, Jeff Probst gave us a sneak peek at the new cast of Survivor: Heroes vs. Villians. I was thrilled to see Rupert Boneham there. He’s such a sweet, nice man. I can’t wait to see how he does.
The 20th season of the show takes place in Samoa once again and if you’re like me, you love some of the new cast members, hate some of them too. Here’s last night’s preview clip:
Of course, we all want to know the details about why each of the castaways was chosen for this new season. No problem there, because Jeff Probst gives us the skinny on each of them:
And here’s a quick bonus. Jeff Probst was photographed on last night’s red carpet and here are the photos:

Launch My Line: Preview of Tomorrow’s Episode

[Bravo Photos: Pete Tangen/© 2009 NBC Universal, Inc.]
I am very excited to see tomorrow’s new episode of Launch My Line because Lady Gaga will be a part of the show! She’s known for her over-the-top and wild outfits, so she should be a very cool inspiration for the designers when they have to create an avant guarde look for their line.
While the lines of fashion might not be crossed, the tension between some teammates gets intense and someone pushes their teammate to the edge. Watch this:
Be sure to watch the next episode of Launch My Line on Bravo tomorrow at 10/9c!
