Also at the Survivor finale red carpet were the photographers. The cast members posed and seemed ready to celebrate. This season, Reality Exploits wasn’t able to cover the red carpet live, since it was in Los Angeles. If they follow their usual pattern and hold the finale every other season in New York, I’ll most likely be able to cover it next season.
Here are some photos of the final three Survivors at the finale:

Survivor: Gabon - Red Carpet Interviews

After the Survivor finale aired, the castaways talked to the press on the red carpet. Just like always, they each bring their own perspective to the events and the motivations of the others. I always enjoy hearing what they have to say after the fact because sometimes it’s not just like we saw on the show. The edit has a lot to do with things.
Here are the final five cast members giving their red carpet interviews. First, Bob shares his reaction to winning:
And Susie came so close to winning. See what she has to say about it:
Congratulations to Bob Crowley - Survivor: Gabon Winner!
Last night we saw physics professor, Bob Crowley win the Survivor: Gabon $1 million prize. And then, to make it even more special, he won the $100,000 audience favorite prize too! All of this, and he’s the oldest Survivor winner ever. What an accomplishment!
I was rooting for both Sugar and for Bob through most of the season and was thrilled that he won. He tied the all-time record for consecutive immunity challenge wins and made that incredible fake immunity idol. He’s really a Survivor superstar.
Here’s an interview this morning on the CBS Early Show. Get a load of the cool hat!
Survivor: Gabon’s Ace Gordon Arrested
![]() Ace Gordon [Photo: Reality Exploits Do Not re-use without permission] |
It seems that since I met him at the Survivor Charity Dodgeball event last month, Ace Gordon, from Survivor: Gabon, has been arrested. Apparently, he was in a bar in Naples, Florida and allegedly hit a woman. A fight ensued and when the police arrived, he resisted arrest.
The Naples Daily News reports, citing Collier County Sherrif’s deputies’ reports said he “was charged with disorderly intoxication, obstruction of an officer and resisting arrest without violence.”
I know that he was one of the “villians” this season on Survivor, but I had no idea tht he had that kind of personality off screen too. I guess it’s a good thing he was able to keep it in check on the show.
I’ll let you know if I hear any updates.
Survivor: Gabon - What Got Them Chosen for the Show?
November 28, 2008 by Lynn
Many people have tried to be cast for Survivor, season after season. Some of the castaways have revealed their tricks for being noticed, but it’s still tough to get the casting people to take notice.
To give you an idea of what the final 7 castaways sent in the way of audition videos, here’s a clip with a taste of each. I think it’s interesting and may give some clues about what we can all do to try to be on a future season of the show.

Jeff Probst Charity to Hold Auction

There’s another reality star who is giving back, but we don’t as often hear about him. That’s because it’s Jeff Probst, host of the Survivor series. Now that he’s an Emmy Award-winning star, he is finally being taken seriously, as he should have been all along. And he’s obviously feeling the need to give back after all of his success. He’s founded a charity for foster kids aging out of the system called The Serpentine Project. Here’s the official press description for you:
The Serpentine Project, founded by Jeff Probst, is a non-profit organization that empowers youth transitioning out of foster care by providing personalized mentorship, life skills training, job shadowing and financial support thereby opening the door to a world of possibilities and the means to reach for their dreams. Learn more about The Serpentine Project at theserpentineproject.org and keep on reading to get a little taste of what will be offered in the coming weeks.
And to get awareness out as well as to raise funds for the organization, he’s teaming up with CBS to hold an auction starting tomorrow. It’s just the first of what may be a series of auctions for the cause, but the first two packages are identical. They will each be auctioned off at eBay and here is what each prize package will contain:
- strong>Two tickets to the Survivor: Gabon live finale taking place at CBS Television City in Los Angeles on December 14, 2008
- A meet and greet session with Emmy Award-winning Survivor host, Jeff Probst
- Lunch with the Survivor contestants where you will have the opportunity to take pictures and get autographs from your favorite Castaways
- An opportunity to take an exclusive backstage tour

I’ve had the pleasure of meeting and getting to know a number of reality stars, and have even met four of the Gabon cast members. They are all very animated, outgoing and interesting people. You will have the time of your life at a lunch with them!
These auctions take place from November 20 – 30, 2008 at www.ebay.com/survivorgabon. Good luck with the auction!!!![]()

November 19, 2008 by Lynn
After last week’s elimination of Charlie, he sat down to answer some questions from Survivor fans. He tells about his strategy at tribal counsel and how things went downhill as one after one of his alliance were voted off.
Survivor: Gabon - Preview of Tomorrow’s Episode
Get ready for the drama on tomorrow night’s Survivor: Gabon. Randy is going to stir things up in an unexpected way and it sounds like tribal counsel is going to get ugly. Check it out:
EXCLUSIVE: The Survivors From Gabon at the Dodgeball Event
November 17, 2008 by Lynn
There were several members of Survivor: Gabon at the Survivor Dodgeball Charity event last weekend, but I only snapped photos of them and did not ask them any questions at all. They are still under a strict contract with CBS and I did not want to jeoparize that in any way. Check out some photos of them:
