Big Brother Little Known Fact!

August 2, 2007 by Lynn

Howie Gordon

Are you still thinking that Dick & Daniele are the first parent-child pair to be considered for Big Brother? If so, you would actually be wrong.

When I was at the Reality TV Convention last month, I had a fun discussion with Howie Gordon & Chicken George at the private party. Apparently on Season 6 (the one with everyone having a secret partner) Howie and his mother were both supposed to be on the show as secret partners!

At the last minute, something happened and Howie’s Mom wasn’t able to do it, so Rachel stepped in.

Chicken George said that it would have been really fun because she’s just as nutty as Howie. Can you imagine TWO people like Howie in the house?? Now that would have been good TV!

Reality TV Convention - Crazy First Day

June 30, 2007 by Lynn

Today has been fun and totally different than I ever would have expected. Things were not nearly as organized as everyone had expected, but those of us who took the time to wait until some of the crowds cleared got plenty of chance to talk to most of the reality stars. All in all, they were all very nice, warm and approachable.

First, I have to say that my life is now complete because Howie Gordon has told me that I “have a nice rack.” Ok, so he also told every other female in the place the same thing, but that’s beside the point… ;-)

Reality TV Convention - First Impressions

June 29, 2007 by Lynn

Well, here I am in fabulous Nashville after driving through torrential rain and thunderstorms most of the way here. Sometimes it was so bad that I started looking for Steve Carell building a giant boat! ;-)

Howie GordonChicken GeorgeRachel

I went downstairs to get a bite to eat and a Cosmo to soothe me after the harrowing drive and who should walk in and site three tables away from me, but Howie Gordon, “Chicken” George Boswell and Rachel Plencner, of Big Brother Seasons 1, 6 & 7!!

It was easy to figure out who they were because Howie, true to form, was singing semi-dirty songs loudly and talking loud enough that I didn’t have to strain to hear much of their conversation.

Yes, folks, it’s going to be a fun weekend! Sorry, but I didn’t have the camera with me because group check-in and the meet-and-greet aren’t until later this evening. But not to worry, I’ll have the camera with me when I go down the next time!!

Keep a watch on this site for up-to-the-minute Reality TV Convention updates…over and out…

Lynn’s Headed for Nashville and the 2007 Reality TV Convention!

June 28, 2007 by Lynn

rtvcon2.gif

Finally! Tomorrow morning, I head to Nashville to take part in the 2007 Reality TV Convention as one of the sponsors. I have been impatiently waiting for this weekend for months and now it’s finally here. :-)

It’s going to be a fun-filled, action-packed weekend and I’ll be photographing and videotaping as much as possible. And I’ll be doing interviews whenever possible. Don’t worry, I won’t keep all that fun to myself, I’ll blog about every bit of it. There won’t be time to blog it all this weekend, but over the next week or so, look for all the posts on this page of RealityExploits.com.

You can check out the reality stars that are scheduled to be there so far by visiting the Convention’s site. And if you have anything you want me to ask of any of them, be sure to email me as soon as you can to lynn@b5media.com. I’ll do my best!

Try Out For ‘Supernanny’ at the Reality TV Convention Next Weekend

June 23, 2007 by Lynn

Next weekend in Nashville, Tennessee, there will be reality TV casting calls. It’s the 2007 Reality TV Convention.

I’ll be there talking to and interviewing reality TV stars all weekend as a sponsor for the event.

Among the shows casting at the event is Supernnanny. Here’s an excerpt from the Convention’s announcement of the casting call:

Supernanny casting producers are joining WKRN 2 to interview moms and dads at this summer’s Reality TV Convention on Sunday, July 1st from 10:00AM to 2:00PM at the Radisson Hotel At Opryland (2401 Music Valley Drive Nashville, TN 37214). Casting will continue all summer long and families are invited to apply for the show anytime.

SUPERNANNY is premiering its fourth season on WKRN 2 later this year. The show is looking for families from neighborhoods across Tennessee who ALL can use Supernanny’s help; families who are preparing for a big event like a wedding or reunion; sports-obsessed parents; parents with mean girls or bullying boys, teens and pre-teens. Casting producers travel west from Philadelphia searching the country all summer to find families from a variety of backgrounds to offer Jo Frost, the challenge of her career.

Families who are in need of help with their out of control kids may apply from anywhere via www.supernanny.com. Parents can also call 877/NANNY TIME (1-877-626-6984).

You should download and complete the show application and bring it to the Reality TV Convention to apply at the casting call.

I’ll see you there! Good luck! :-)
