b5 Entertainment Winter Wonderland Carnival
December 21, 2006 by Lynn

Reality Exploits is a part of a larger network of blogs and websites about all sorts of topics called b5media. Here in the Entertainment & Celebrity channels of b5media, we have over 40 blogs on tv shows, celebrities and lots of interesting things (check out my sidebar for the full list),
Wondering what this means? Basically it’s a theme that we ask everyone to write on and then do a big summary on.
Our theme was Winter Wonderland. We each wrote a post interpreting this theme and here they are:
- Kerri takes a look at the 1980’s contribution to the classic Christmas carol on The 80s Club
- Lynn creates her own Reality Special on Ice Sculptures on Reality Exploits
- Arieanna creates a Hilary Duff Holiday Wallpaper and shares some Christmas music videos on Hilary News
- Grace tells us How Superheroes spend the Holidays on Superhero Profiles
- Leora on 24 Headquarters found a great Christmas spoof video for Fox’s 24
- Lynn mulls about what she’d ask the characters of Bones if she shared a cup of cocoa with them on Searching Bones
- Ever wonder how the Royals celebrate Christmas? Maricar gives us the inside scoop on British Royal Christmas’ on Merry Royals
- Leora shares the top 10 Christmas movies and top 10 Chanukah movies on Film Gecko
- Arieanna creates a Montage Holiday Card for Mischa News
- Lynn of House is Right asks who you’d like to see kiss it up under the mistletoe on House
- Arieanna walks down memory lane with 7 Seasons of Stars Hollow Winters on Gilmore Girls News
- Sheila gives her blog a winter theme on Medium Dreams
- Nikki spills on Wentworth Miller’s Christmas Plans on Prison Break Buff
- Leora asks if a peace sign Christmas wreath is the devil’s work on Simply Dumb
- Arieanna creates a Christmas Card for Lindsay Lohan on Lohan Groupie
- Leora wishes you a ‘ho ho ho’ Merry Christmas on Kapped
Hope you enjoyed your walk through Winter Wonderland!

What if This Was a New Reality Show?
December 17, 2006 by Lynn
Here on the Entertainment Channel of b5media, we are doing a Winter Wonderland theme for December. That means that we all will write a post relating to the theme on our blogs, then tie them all together with one post linking to all the themed posts. Sounds confusing, but it’s not.
So I started to try to think of a way to tie reality TV to the winter time. It’s not as easy as you might think. Most reality shows are filmed in warmer weather. It might be because the cameras (or the crew!) might have some issues with the cold, or it might be that they want to show people in skimpy clothing and that’s not easy in the winter. Whatever.
And then this amazing e-mail arrived in my inbox from my good friend, Jeanne. There were these fabulous photos of ice sculptures that are such amazing works of art, it seems so sad that they will end up melting. It occurred to me that I’ve seen shows on the Food Channel where chefs create ice sculptures for competitions, but nothing on this scale.
So what if they had a reality TV show where artists create this kind of magnificent art out of ice? Ok, perhaps it’s only a Reality Show Special…the premise may run dry pretty quickly. But just look at these photos!! I don’t know the event for which they were created or the names of the artists, so if anyone out there knows, please leave a comment to tell us all.
In the mean time, just enjoy these works of art:
