Fans of the former Bravo series Project Runway have been waiting for months to find out when the show would air again. After the hotly contested move to Lifetime network, the show has finally gotten back on track.

The premiere of the new season of Project Runway will be August 20 at 10/9c on Lifetime. All the familiar faces will return; Heidi Klum, Tim Gunn, Michael Kors & Nina Garcia. But this time, the show will take place in Los Angeles instead of in New York.

The show’s host and judges say that the move to LA is a logical one, since the red carpet phenomenon is truly an LA experience. So we can expect more red carpet related challenges, I guess.

No matter, I’m just like the rest of the show’s fans. I can’t wait for the new season to begin. I’ll keep you informed of all the news about the show, as it’s announced.

May 14, 2009 by Lynn

We have just found out who Maxim named for their annual Hot 100 list and two reality TV hosts are on the list this time.

Heidi Klum

No one should be surprised that the absolutely stunning model/Project Runway show host Heidi Klum is #62 on the list. She is so beautiful both inside and out, it seems completely deserved.

Padma Lakshmi

And Top Chef host/model Padma Lakshmi has been named #95 on the list. She’s been on the list for several years now and truly is amazing looking.

Congratulations to both women for being recognized for being so beautiful!

Heidi Klum: Why is She Serving Pizzas?

March 19, 2009 by Lynn

It’s part of the promostion for a new CBS show that premieres on April 1 called I Get That a Lot. No too many details of the show have been released so far, but it looks like famous people pose as “regular” folks and see who recognizes them.

This is a very funny clip of Project Runway’s Heidi Klum serving pizza in a pizza parlor. The customers tell her that she looks like Cameron Diaz. She tells them that Cameron comes in a lot and is a “pain in the ass.” Enjoy:

Reality Winter Shows - There’s a Whole New Crop Coming Soon

December 14, 2008 by Lynn

This time of the year, the prime-time shows go into a repeat pattern and a lot of reality shows wind down. It’s because people tend to be very caught up in the holidays and end of year activities and don’t watch TV as much. Yes, we just started a new season of Secret Millionaire and Top Chef 5, but not much else is happening in the world of reality TV for the next couple of weeks.

But not to worry, there’s a whole new batch of reality series heading our way and here’s the line-up that I have so far:

Reality Review: Stylista

November 2, 2008 by Lynn

StylistaTyra Banks has another hit reality show on her hands, in my opinion. Her production company has come up with a new reality competition series, Stylista. Stylish fashion editor wannabes compete each week for a grand prize of a job as a junior editor at Elle Magazine, a free apartment for a year in NYC and $100,000. Not a bad prize!

And as you might expect, there’s the usual drama among to prospective editors. Some are real divas, some have actual talent, some seem to have none at all.

My favorite competitor is Danielle who is one of the more stylish and talented members of the cast, but she doesn’t fit the perfect look of most of the other reality competitors we see. She looks like a real person. She doesn’t wear a size zero, so come of the more beautiful members of the cast didn’t take her a seriously as they should at first. I like the fact that she is taken seriously by the Elle staff and the show judges, Anne Slowey & Joe Zee.

Each week, the aspiring editors have to do an actual assignment and create a mock layout for the magazine. They have to work in teams, just like in the real world and each week, one is sent home. I like the dynamic of this show. And as a writer, I suppose I am happy to finally have a show that reflects some of the challenges of the writing/publishing world.

If you like America’s Next Top Model and Project Runway, this newest project by the same creators should make you happy too. Be sure to tune in to Stylista on CW Network, Wednesdays 9/8c.

Project Runway 5: Suede Dishes the Dirt!

October 19, 2008 by Lynn

SuedeNow that the season is over, Suede, the last designer to be eliminated from Project Runway during the regular season talks about what really happened while on the show…and after.

In an interview with MSNBC, Suede lets us know that he was excited to be able to show a collection on the runway at Brant Park. All six of the top desingers were able to show their collections, so as not to give away the actual final three. That has to be a huge boost to a disigner’s career! Here are some of the other questions he answered for us:

Q: What was it like to show at Bryant Park?

A: It was a dream come true. I never thought in my entire life that I’d show at Bryant Park. I never thought I’d be at “Project Runway.” I’ve been in the industry for 15 years and none of the companies I have worked for have ever shown there. It was my first time being at Bryant Park aside from walking through when there were no tents and having lunch. My mom was front row. I am so close to her — it meant the world to me. I know not everyone got the collection, but I am so proud of myself. It was a huge accomplishment and I was really excited to show.

Q: Is Kenley as bad as she seems on the show?

A: Everyone is who they are on the show. What you see is what you get. Kenley is very young and has a lot of growing to do. She is who you are seeing.

Q: What was your favorite challenge?

A: My favorite one was where I won the green challenge with Natalie Portman. The dress sold out in less than three hours on bluefly.com.

Q: Is there anything you would have done differently in your last challenge?

A: Hindsight is 20/20. Knowing they wanted something a little more over the top, I probably would have done that. But that is not where I see modern-day rockers — they are not costume-y any more. What I did is right on the spot and the response I’ve gotten on my Web site has been amazing. Really believe in what I did, but I would have changed it. I mean, no one wants to get voted off.

Leanne & Kenley Talk About Project Runway

October 18, 2008 by Lynn

Andy Cohen of Bravo TV sat down to talk to Leanne and Kenley after the Project Runway season 5 finale. Leanne was just beaming in the interview and Kenley looked like she secretly wanted to strangle Leanne. (Honestly, watch for yourself!)

Leanne

Congratulations to Leanne for winning Project Runway season 5!

With a collection that illustrated elegance and simplicity while still encomapssing Leanne’s unique voice, she won the fifth season of Project Runway. She said that her garments were inspired by waves and I have to say that I was amazed and in love with almost all of them! She’s a truly talented and promising designer and like the winners of previous seasons, I know we haven’t seen the last of her work!

This week on Project Runway, the final four each take $8000 home to create their looks for the runway at Bryant Park. In this spoiler clip, Tim Gunn visits each one at home to get a sense of how they are doing on creating their line. (I love Tim’s comment to Kenley about someone hanging themself…)

In this spoiler clip, the designers are reunited and Kenley finds that the others are as unwelcoming as always to her. (She brings it all on herself…)

This week, with guest judge LL Cool J, the designers will have a challenge they haven’t been expecting. Although some of them think that they can handle anything at this point… (And check it out! Suede talks about himself in the first person!)

In this clip we get some clues about what the challenge is. And Heidi introduces LL Cool J as the guest judge.

Be sure to watch Project Runway on Bravo Thursdays at 9pm ET.
