The nominees for the 2nd annual A-List Awards have been announced. The awards air on Bravo and are hosted by self-proclaimed “D-List” celebrity Kathy Griffin. Last year, because the awards were so new, there were not nearly as many categories as this year. But now they seem to really be embracing the fun of the awards. Congratulations to Kathy Griffin on Her Second Emmy!
September 15, 2008 by Lynn
Funny lady Kathy Griffin has picked up her second Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Reality Program for Bravo’s reality show Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List at the 60th Annual Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards on Saturday, September 13 in Los Angeles.
Now she has all new material for her next season of the show. Just wait, she’ll be using Emmys for bookends….
Here’s what she had to say this year (not nearly as controversial as last ear’s acceptance speech…)
“I am promptly delivering my second Emmy to my mother, who is sitting at home in a mumu with a box of wine waiting to salute my dad,” said Griffin.
Congratulations, Kathy! It’s well deserved!!

The D-List Must Not Be So Bad…
July 31, 2008 by Lynn
I ran across this photo of Kathy Griffin getting ready to drive this fabulous car. Now, I’m no dummy. I think this means that the D-List must take care of Kathy very well.
She’s in the middle of another fantastic season of her reality show Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List. She has created a new library for a school in Mexico, she took her then boyfriend “The Woz” to a convention of bears….and no, I don’t mean the kind in the zoo…she had Cesar Millan help her train her dogs and there’s just no telling what whe’ll do next. I love her show.
Be sure to watch Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List when it airs on Bravo on Thursdays at 10/9c.

Kathy Griffin Wins Her First Emmy!
September 10, 2007 by Lynn
Hurray for Kathy Griffin for winning her first Emmy Award for her reality show My Life On the D-List. This season was the most revealing one so far and showed us more about our favorite funny lady than ever before. We saw her come to terms with her recent divorce and start to date again. And we saw the very sad passing of her father. She allowed us inside her world and let us see her personal struggles up close and personal…all with a big dose of sarcasm. It took real guts to let us see her at her most vulnerable.
Here’s what Bravo.com has to say about her Emmy win:
Congratulations to Kathy Griffin on her first Emmy Award! Her hit Bravo series, “My Life on the D-List” won an Emmy over the weekend for Best Reality Program, and we couldn’t agree more. At the ceremony, she told the audience, “Can you believe this shit? Hell has frozen over. Suck it, Jesus, this award is my god now.” And after accepting her award, she said, “I have an A-list pass for the day. Tomorrow I’ll be back on the D-list when someone says, ‘Congratulations, Miss Gifford,’ which they will at the mall. Believe me.”

We love you, Kathy! Congratulations on an award well deserved!

Kathy Griffin’s ‘My Life on the D-List’ - Sneek Peek

Here’s a fun video clip spoiler for this week’s episode of Kathy Griffin’s My Life on the D-List. Enjoy!
Kathy Griffin’s Life on the D-List Season 3 is Off to a Great Start!
June 7, 2007 by Lynn
The season 3 premiere of Kathy Griffin’s My Life on the D-List aired and it’s going to be perhaps the best season yet for her!
As we already knew from the sneak peek video, Kathy did a sold out show at Carnegie Hall! She may be on the D-List, but she has certainly made the big time now!
But before all that, we got to meet her two new assistants. There’s Tiffany and Tom. We found out that Tom is actually Kathy’s new roommate. She didn’t feel very safe in that big house alone, so he’s been staying there to be the “man of the house.”
Personally, I think Kathy could take care of herself and Lord help whoever decided to break into her house! She’d take them down all by herself, just for the comedy material!
And I was pleasantly surprised to see that her parents, yes, both of them, were in this episode. As you know, Kathy’s Dad passed away a couple of months ago and I wasn’t sure if her Mom would be in the show or not. But we still have a chance to enjoy her Dad a bit more! It’s a very special treat!
Especially when they told Kathy that they’ve been going to a gay bar lately. LOL!

Very Sad News for Fans of Kathy Griffin’s Life on the D-List
February 24, 2007 by Lynn
Those of us who love Kathy Griffin’s day to day TV chronicle of her fun and crazy life, Kathy Griffin’s Life on the D-List, will be sad to know that her funny, sarcastic and loving father has died. Here’s what Kathy has to say on her web site:
Thank you for all of your lovely comments and inquiries about my Dad. He passed away last Saturday, February 17th at 2pm here in L.A. He had a very far reach in this world and is already missed by so many.
His ascerbic, rapier wit and true heart of gold made for a wonderful combination in a great man. He died from complications due to congestive heart failure AND multiple myeloma. Please keep my mom and my siblings in your thoughts and prayers. What can I say? I just loved him so much.
XXOO Kathy G
My deepest sympathies go out to Kathy and her family.
