This time of the year, the prime-time shows go into a repeat pattern and a lot of reality shows wind down. It’s because people tend to be very caught up in the holidays and end of year activities and don’t watch TV as much. Yes, we just started a new season of Secret Millionaire and Top Chef 5, but not much else is happening in the world of reality TV for the next couple of weeks.

But not to worry, there’s a whole new batch of reality series heading our way and here’s the line-up that I have so far:

Having the first ever Emmy nominees in the category of Outstanding Reality Show Host share the hosting duties for this year’s Emmy Awards was a fun idea. Even though at times they rambled a bit too much, they did add a comic touch to the show. The first-ever Emmy nominees for Outstanding Reality Show Host were a big part of tonight’s Emmy Award Show. They brought their own humor and fun styles to the show and it was a great celebration of an overdue new Emmy category.
