Reality Winter Shows - There’s a Whole New Crop Coming Soon

December 14, 2008 by Lynn

This time of the year, the prime-time shows go into a repeat pattern and a lot of reality shows wind down. It’s because people tend to be very caught up in the holidays and end of year activities and don’t watch TV as much. Yes, we just started a new season of Secret Millionaire and Top Chef 5, but not much else is happening in the world of reality TV for the next couple of weeks.

But not to worry, there’s a whole new batch of reality series heading our way and here’s the line-up that I have so far:

Reality Hosts Entertained at the Emmys

September 22, 2008 by Lynn

Having the first ever Emmy nominees in the category of Outstanding Reality Show Host share the hosting duties for this year’s Emmy Awards was a fun idea. Even though at times they rambled a bit too much, they did add a comic touch to the show. Here are a few photos of Jeff Probst, Heidi Klum, Tom Bergeron, Howie Mandel & Ryan Seacrest during the event:

Reality Hosts Spiced Up the Emmys

September 21, 2008 by Lynn

The first-ever Emmy nominees for Outstanding Reality Show Host were a big part of tonight’s Emmy Award Show. They brought their own humor and fun styles to the show and it was a great celebration of an overdue new Emmy category.

Here’s a fun promotional photo of the nominees; Heidi Klum, Jeff, Probst, Tom Bergeron, Howie Mandel (even though I call his show a game show, not a reality show) and Ryan Seacrest.

Keep Up With the Latest in Dance Reality TV!

April 16, 2008 by Lynn

Wondering why this site doesn’t say anything about Dancing With the Stars, So You Think You Can Dance or even Step It Up & Dance these days? There’s a very good reason for it, actually. You see, last summer, I launched the Dance Watcher blog here on b5media and those are some of the great dance reality shows that I cover over there.

For example, this week, Priscilla Presley was voted off Dancing With the Stars. Here’s the line-up of the remaining dancers this season:

And Bravo’s latest hit reality show is Step It Up & Dance, where professional dancers go toe-to-toe in a tough and exciting challenge each week, on their way to a $100,00 prize. Here’s the cast and their status so far:
