Get Ready for Summer Showdown Tonight!
After the season finale of Design Star airs on HGTV, the season premiere of Summer Showdown will air. This new show will pit stars of HGTV against each other in a competition to see who is the best. The show’s host is George Gray and included are the likes of David Bromstad, Carter Oosterhouse and Vern Yip. And one of the celebrity judges is none other than Sparkle Josh from Season 2 of Design Star! How could it get any better than that?
The show will air four one-hour specials that have HGTV’s top talent going head-to-head against each other in a race against the clock to make over rooms in dire need of an overhaul. For each challenge, the two teams must redesign the rooms, and then a panel of celebrity judges selects the best makeover. The homeowner who submitted that room gets cash to do the room themselves.
