Artist Wins Groomer Has It

Several weeks ago, I reviewed the reality series on Animal Planet called Groomer Has It. I had only chanced across the show because it didn’t get the big-money publicity that many other shows get, but was hooked with the very first episode.
My two favorite groomers were Will, who was voted out about mid-season and Artist. Artist is a sincere young man with a huge heart. As the challenges ticked by, I came to want him to win even more. The kindness he showed in the rescue challenge was so touching, it brought tears to my eyes. He took on the most needy dog, even though it would make his staying in the competition seem impossible, just because the dog needed him. And he had been ready to leave because of it until the host Jai Rodriguez told him that no one would be eliminated that week.
He showed his willingness to learn, his kindness and his talent through all the season’s challenges and emerged the winner. His prize was $50,000 and a mobile grooming van. When he won, he fell to his knees, cried and kissed his young son. I found myself crying with joy too. I’m so happy that Artist was the winner and now has the title of Groomer of the Year. Now I can’t wait for season 2!

I was so very happy for Artist when he won.It was such a tear jerker! No he didnt have as much experience as the others, but he had the most heart and loves those animals so much!!! Congratulations Artist… and I wish nothing but the best for you and your son.

I loved the show. I loved the fact that Artist won. The relationship between Will and Aritst was touching. Artist is the ‘every man’ like many of us that watched from our TV sets.

I too loved the relationship between Artist & Jasper. I wonder if they are still friends and in touch. It was so cool how close they became.

I’m an AKC junior handler, dog 4-Her and dog groomer in training, and ARTIST IS MY ALL TIME HERO!!!!!!!! Not only did he bring spunk and individuality to the grooming table, but he also showed that kindness and sheer determination are the way to victory. He was never judgemental, never jealous and never nasty. He never made enemies, only friends. That’s why he’s my role model. Jonathan’s an outstanding groomer, but Artist sounds like he would be an excelent friend as well.

I watched Groomer Has It and fell in love with Artist. Something about him made him different from the other groomers. I didnt quite know what it was until as the season went on I figured out what it was. LOVE FOR DOGS. He didnt brag about experience his clientel(like some people). He was “In it to Win IT”!!! Congrats Artist.

What great dog groomer and what a wonderful attitude, the Love for dogs and seeing him learn and win I was so happy for him congrats Artist!!! you desrved it. As I am a Dog Groomer for 25 years and 2nd place in my state for dog grooming in 1984 maybe you might see me on t.v next season lol

I am very happy for Artist he took everything the judge’s talk to him about and used it. Unlike Jonothan who was VERY cocky. The best groomer got it. Congrats Artist.
