The Biggest Loser 5: Two Return!

Once again, my friend & fellow Spekked blogger Jeanne Dupuis has written her recap of this week’s Biggest Loser episode for us. You can read more of her great show recaps on her Idol Stalker blog.
This week’s episode of The Biggest Loser started with a major shock. Host, Alison Sweeney, brought back all of the eliminated players. For what purpose? The two (one male, one female) with the highest percentage of weight loss would be put back into the game! Here’s how the special weigh-in went!
(follow the jump for the rest of the recap)
The women went first:
- Jenni: 38 pounds (14.23%)
- Mallory: 42 pounds (19.35%)
- Amanda: 46 pounds (22.55%)
- Ali: 67 pounds (28.63%)
- Bette-Sue: 49 pounds (18.77%)
- Jenn: 48 pounds (18.90%)
- Jackie: 64 pounds (26.02%)
With 28..63%, Ali (former Pink team member) was put back in the game.
Here’s how things went for the men:
- Lynn: 64 pounds (15.65%)
- Curtis: 100 pounds (26.25%)
- Neill: 55 pounds (17.35%)
- Trent: 105 pounds (24.08%)
- Paul: 70 pounds (23.10%)
- Mark: 90 pounds (31.58%)
- Bernie: 88 pounds (31.10%)
With 31.58%, Mark (former Blue team member) got back in the game. This thrilled his brother, Jay, but former Black team member, Bernie, missed returning to the game by just two points leaving, Brittany, and his other teammates in tears.
For the challenge, contestants had to pedal on a stationary bicycle fast and long enough to energize a series of light bulbs. After several rounds, Dan (Blue team) won the challenge. His reward was that, at the next elimination, he would be able to cast two votes, which is a pretty big prize at this stage in the game.
After a tense week, Jillian became frustrated with her Black team who seemed lost and unmotivated after the elimination of Bernie. Maggie even admitted that she had not stopped eating that whole week. Jillian voiced his disappointment and did her best to motivate them but things did get worse…
At the real weigh in, Alison asked Brittany some pointed questions about winning the weigh-in and being motivated in the game. Jillian did not seem to like that since she went off on the host, swearing at her and telling her to be a human being for once (ouch!). To her credit, Alison kept her cool, and moved on. Here are the week’s numbers:
- Ali: 7 pounds (4.19%)
- Mark: 7 pounds (3.59%)
- Dan: 4 pounds (1.90%)
- Roger: 8 pounds (3.09%)
- Jay: 5 pounds (2.34%)
- Brittany: 2 pounds (1.15%)
- Kelly: 4 pounds (1.94%)
- Maggie: 0 pounds (0.00%)
Brittany and Maggie fell below the yellow line and Maggie voiced her frustration about doing everything she could and still lost no weight. My question is, how is that possible if she admitted that she couldn’t stop eating all week?
In the end, there was no resolution since we will have to wait until next week for them to announce who was voted off.

Weight loosing is a very difficult task to accomplish and it needs a lot many efforts. There are people who want to loose weight and do a lot of efforts to loose weight. The people who do right efforts are the only one to get success

I saw this episode when jillian went off. I think she was wrong to take her frustrations out on the host. the host did a great job of keeping her cool, because she could have so easily told jillian to shut the hell up. Jillian cant get mad at her for doing her job and asking questions, its a competion

People in the world are going obese because now they are not engaged in any kind of physical activities. They just sit back in the chair and do their work. There are a lot many good books which we can refer in the matter to loose some weight.
