Survivor Dodgeball: Chad is a Great Roll Model!
I want to start by saying that I have admired Chad Crittenden’s strength and courage since he was on the Vanuatu season of Survivor. He is a cancer survivor and a leg amputee, but he never let that stop him from doing everything the rest of the cast did, and often much better. That takes guts and determination.

We chatted a bit about his being “differently-abled” not “disabled” and he told me that he is putting together a web site for amputees. Its mission is to give information, encouragement and role models for young people who may have to go through the process. I will gladly post all the details about it as soon as he gets closer to launching it.

The legendary Dan Sorkin started this group (and is featured in the first segment) and I’ve been a member since I got my surgery. By the way, in October we celebrated 5 years since the surgery/cancer diagnosis. Woo-whoo! […]
