Survivor: China - Phone Call From Home
Tonight’s episode began with the remaining Survivors talking about the shocking elimination they managed to pull off. I’m still in shock that my favorite, James, was voted off. Now, I’m pulling for Todd. So let’s see how this week plays out.
The weather was miserable and the Survivors had to spend a lot of time huddling in mud holes to stay out of the rain. People were starting to get really homesick.
Todd said he was aligned with Courtney, Amanda & Denise and that they were all wanting to get rid of Erik and Peih-Gee. But even he knew that the others could turn on him at any time. This is the point in the game when things typically get cut-throat.
First, the castaways went to a reward challenge. They found out that each of them would be paired with a partner and would find their way blindfolded through a giant maze to win a reward. Then, Jeff broke the news to them that they would have a family member or loved one as their partner. The winning team would get a boat trip, a huge feast and a phone call from home.

Denise and her husband won the reward and were given the chance to take two more teams with them. Denise chsoe to take Todd and his sister as well as Amanda and her sister. Those three loved ones were then allowed to stay overnight with the Survivors in the camp after the boat ride, feast and Denise’s phone call.
Denise got a phone call from her daughter. It all seemed like a huge morale boost for Denise.
Back at camp, Peih-Gee was bitter because Denise hadn’t taken her on the reward trip. Then Caourtney, Erik & Peih-Gee were all suggesting that Todd’s sister had made up the story she had told Todd about his other sister having a miscarriage.. (They suggested that it might be like a Jonny Fairplay situation.) I just don’t think Todd is that much of a sleazeball to copy Jonny Fairplay…
Then came the Immunity Cahllenge. Peih-Gee won the Immunity once again. She’s done a great job of staying in the game.
Peih-Gee started to try to get Denise to vote out Todd with them. She seemed torn about what to do.
At Tribal Counsel, the Survivors discussed how Denise winning the challenge and letting the others know how good her life is, could affect her chances of winning. She felt vulnerable. They all voted and Erik was eliminated. Here’s how everyone voted:
