The Ghost Hunters Were Live in St. Louis!
October 24, 2007 by Lynn
On Monday evening, fellow Spekked blogger, Jonathan of Supernatural Scoop and I went to see the leaders of TAPS (The Atlantic Paranormal Society), Jason Hawes & Grant Wilson speak at the main public library in downtown St. Louis.
No one expected the throngs of people that would show up to see the Ghost Hunters speak. In fact nearly 1200 people showed up for a venue that comfortably could hold about 300 or so.
We stood in lines that were incredibly long, in spite of the fact that we got there over an hour early. (Next time, we will definitely take our press credentials with us…geez! Who knew?) Anyway, we ended up in this overflow room in the standing room only part at the back and barely made it in at all. We were told that over 700 people were turned away.
The Ghost Hunters have some major fans!! Here are some photos of what we got to see:

(continued after the jump)

They set up a screen in the overflow room where we could hear four badly placed speakers and watch a PowerPoint presentation. *Yawn!* Very disappointing indeed.
But not to worry, Ghost Hunter fans! TAPS and the team will be investigating a sanitarium in Louisville, Kentucky live for 7 hours on Halloween night and I’ll be blogging it live for you. I hope you’ll join in with your own comments so we can all experience the investigation together!!
Be sure to come back here to comment and read the live recap on Halloween. But in the meantime, you’ll have to go read Jonathan’s hilarious comparison between the Ghost Hunters and the Winchester brothers on the show Supernatural. He’s a character, and if you like Supernatural, you should really read his blog too.

Thanks, Lynn. It was fun, though not what we expected. Next time we do need to bring credentials.
Larger bumpershoots, Wellies, and a spot of tea, wouldn’t hurt, either, eh, Gov’ner.
Cheers!
The library staff admitted in the write up in the Post Dispatch that they did not expect that large of a turn out and even with the overflow room, they had to turn people away.
I will be interested to see what, if any sites they chose to investigate in the city and surrounding area.
I was actually one of the lucky ones.I got there 2 hours early and there was already a line.I actually got to meet them face to face. My daughter even got to ask a question.I had a really great time and hope to see more of them in the future.
we should talk, i’ve been in the field for a long time, i know alot of others that would be more than willing to jump on ship to go places most are afraid to set foot in. call me sometime im a man of many ventures. Jaçk Chaøs
