Last Comic Standing: Two Comics Go Home

Last night’s episode of Last Comic Standing was so much fun! And as a person who has never missed a single episode of any of the five seasons, it was a perfect Last Comic Standing competition.
First, the annual heckling contest took place. It’s one of my favorite challenges each year. I usually root for the hecklers, but this year, several of the comics were so good at deflecting them, it was great! The winner of the heckling challenge was Lavell Crawford. Even though Debra DiGiovanni is one of my favorites this season, she had truly met her match in Lavell. He was awesome!
So when the comics all nominated one of their fellow comics for the showdown by going into the booth and saying, “I know I’m funnier than…” The person most nominated was Dante. Since two other comics had nominated him, they were the two he went head to head with in the challenge. The two were Gina Yashere & Ralph Harris, both very funny comics too.
All three performed and after laughing through the entire three peformances, the audience voted for Ralph Harris with 61% of the vote.
Unfortunately, that meant that Dante and Gina had to leave the show. It’s a shame, they’re both so good. But next week is another challenge and it will probably be just as funny. Don’t forget to watch on Wednesday at 9 pm ET on NBC.
