Casting Notice! American Psychic’s Challenge

by Lynn on August 1st, 2007

TVGasm just made this casting announcement. I have my doubts thaqt there will be tens of thousands who apply…but if there were, it would make for some great TV! I wonder how they audition these folks? Make them guess at least 15 out of 20 items? It could be interesting.

American Pyschic’s Challenge — For the first season of The American Pyschic’s Challenge. Are you psychic? Do you want to show the world your talents? If so, you may be a perfect candidate for Lifetime’s new series “America’s Psychic Challenge” where psychics will compete in a variety of challenges. Download the PDF application for the casting here.

All we can hope is that there’s at least one of them that’s as entertainingly delusional as this guy. (He tried out for So You Think You Can Dance! Only he and his mother thought he could…)

Dear Sirs, Instead of just doing inane parlor tricks in this show, why not create a psychic competition to locate real missing persons? You know, the Madeleine McCann case and others like it? We have thousands of missing persons, and apparently no psychics who can actually locate them!

Hello Everyone, I am very excited about this new show. I am also hopeful that the Psychic Challenge will separate the true Psychics from the scam artists. I would like to see and hear about how a Psychic can be helpful to many people in every day life, and I for one, will be watching to see if this show will accurately determine who and what a Real Psychic should be. Very Good Luck to All… See you in the Future!!!

While the show might sound interesting, I highly doubt that you will get the accuracy that you are looking for with a show like this. What people don’t understand is that every situation is constantly changing by the different energies that are going on. Being put on the spot will make even the best psychic get nervous and could alter the energy. I’m a full time psychic medium, hypnotherapist, Reiki & Quantum Healer and an Author…being put on the spot can turn the best into a nightmare! I think this will be more entertaining than it will be true and logical! and like Robert said…why not put the talent to good use instead of trying to “prove someone wrong”…there’s much more out there to invest that kind of energy in. I strive each and every day to help as many people as possible…not to strut my stuff and pat myself on the back.

If this show is done fairly, it will of course show that there is no such thing as a psychic. I fear that this will not be good TV, so they’re gonna cheat and lie and push the ratings up. Hooray! Sadly, this will only bolster the wrong ideas (rather eloquently) put forward in the above comments that “being psychic” is something more than just a delusion.

Well Tim, if you are a rather scientific person, of course there is no such thing as being psychic. Your theory would be that “if I can’t see it, it doesn’t exist”….however, I would love for you to come to one of my events…especially one that I could not know well over 100 people and I then connect with loved ones that have passed on, giving them some very good proof of the afterlife. But of course…I’m sure that you would find a way to reason that out too. So in your eyes, it would be a no win situation. I’m sorry that you don’t believe in psychics (again, you shouldn’t believe in them all, there are a lot of frauds out there!) some psychics are good and very honest in what they do!

I have an even better idea! Why not ask the “psychics” to snap up the million-dollar prize that we at the James Randi Educational Foundation have been offering for years now? These scam-artists appear on major TV shows and seem to do very well performing, without any problems about “pressure” or “nervous attacks” to inhibit them.

The fact is that, they KNOW they can’t perform when carefully watched, because they’re either self-deluded or outright scam artists. Our files are jammed with applicants, and we could suply all the “psychics” any show could ever ask for. So, just ask!

Cool!! I’m looking forward to it! Hubby says I should go on it…I don’t want someone to trash me and my reputation and make a parody out of me! I have a gallery session (John Edward style group session) going on this week-end, we’re launching my new book and we’re filming the event for promotional as well as a possible tv pilot. We’re hoping that someone will want to pick it up and run with it like the Lisa William’s: Life Among The Dead. Or one of the other reality shows.

Mr. Randi! Finally a reasonable voice - and a voice as distinguished as yours, no less!

Well, well, well now I am impressed!!! Very nice job on the show. I was in fear of you trashing or not making good use of psychic abilities. You put my fear to rest. The one problem I had with show #1 was the fact that you gave too much power to a grieving family. The family of such a tragedy would at that point have a difficult time separating emotions with reality. And the show host does a fine job!!! So, why not share with the family by a 50% choice of correct information. I, however agree with the family’s top choice, just not the second choice. All in all AWESOME — Keep it up, it’s a WINNER !!!

I THINK THAT JACKIE THE “WHITE SERPENT”IS VERY RUDE AND NEEDS AN ATTITUDE ADJUSTMENT SHE DID NOT HAVE TO BE SO RUDE TO THE OTHER PSYCHIC’S.LIKE THE ONE THAT STARTED CRYING BECAUSE OF THE CRIME WHERE THE MOTHER HAD TO DROP HER CHILDREN OUT THE WINDOW BECAUSE OF THE FIRE.

    Hello everyone,

I couldn’t agree with the last post more. I for one am a psychic medium and I love this show. I think that Jackie the White Serpent is rude and condescending. I didn’t appreciate her comment when Lynn was crying about the fact that the mother had to drop her children from the window because of a fire. Very insensitive in my opinion. Well, have a wonderful day!

I like Mystic Mona in Las Vegas…she’s on the radio (720AM or http://www.kdwn.com) every Sunday night at 7pm.
I don’t know if she’s really a psychic or if she just gives good old fashion common sense advice…I like listening to the callers and hearing how she talks with people.

Sad to say i have approached about 5 psychics and all were real wrotten stories. They claim need to charge high due to their ability and that all other profressionals like doctors and etc do charge high too. Unfortunately especially the UK ones really dont have human touch in their work.
Their assistant are really nasty and rude and when we say that what was stated in their website and reading down and actual is different and the most stupid thing they could answer is please pay and do another reading if you have anything different from previous. Not even 5% true, worst some claim they were nuns and now gifted psychics and from charity to US150 p/h amount stated? why when god gave the ability it is no more charity? suddenly the greed arise? How many real charity base psychic are there? How many can say you listen and pay me back after you found it to be true? Well psychic is a gift not paid US50k to get learn so where is the cost to charge even higher then a specialist doctor who constantly strive to improve!!!

I believe Madeleine was killed within days of being abducted, she was buried within a radius of 15 miles from where she was snatched….only one male was involved…I don’t think he would have killed her, but with all the publicity that was taking place, I think he probably panicked.
