Yau-Man’s Hat Auctioned for Charity
Yau-Man’s MySpace site just announced that he sold his floppy hat from the show for a charity auction. Here’s what he had to say about it:
I just came back from our local Food Bank fund raiser where my hat was auctioned off. Our local Hilton Hotel donated a dinner for 4 to go along with the hat where the winner and his/her friends will get to have dinner with me. It was a live auction and the high bidders were at $1750 and $1700 when Hilton Hotel decided to throw in 2 dinners for 4 and so the highest two bidders will get to have dinner with me and get signed 8×10 autograph picture (of me on the island wearing the hat.) The higher bidder gets the hat!
There were 12 items for the live auction and the hat/dinner was the only one that went over a thousand dollars!
Great news, Yau-Man!! What a wonderful thing to do! :-)
