Kathy Griffin’s Life on the D-List Season 3 is Off to a Great Start!
The season 3 premiere of Kathy Griffin’s My Life on the D-List aired and it’s going to be perhaps the best season yet for her!
As we already knew from the sneak peek video, Kathy did a sold out show at Carnegie Hall! She may be on the D-List, but she has certainly made the big time now!
But before all that, we got to meet her two new assistants. There’s Tiffany and Tom. We found out that Tom is actually Kathy’s new roommate. She didn’t feel very safe in that big house alone, so he’s been staying there to be the “man of the house.”
Personally, I think Kathy could take care of herself and Lord help whoever decided to break into her house! She’d take them down all by herself, just for the comedy material! ;-)
And I was pleasantly surprised to see that her parents, yes, both of them, were in this episode. As you know, Kathy’s Dad passed away a couple of months ago and I wasn’t sure if her Mom would be in the show or not. But we still have a chance to enjoy her Dad a bit more! It’s a very special treat!
Especially when they told Kathy that they’ve been going to a gay bar lately. LOL!
So Kathy took off with her assistants in tow to the Big Apple to get ready for her big night. She went on the radio with Whoopi Goldberg and then Whoopi gave her some great advice about playing Carnegie Hall.
Then she had her assistants invite Liza Minnelli to the show. This was dealt with throughout the episode and sadly, we found that Liza couldn’t make it to the show. But she did send a hand written note congratulating Kathy on her big night.
Then Kathy went to appear on The View. It looked pretty peaceful on the show that day. Whew! Lucky her!
Then she had dinner with Joan Rivers and tried to pick up the chef promising that she would “put-out.” He scurried away in a hurry…what’s his problem?
Then she performed at Carnegie Hall. We didn’t actually get to see her do it, but we have to take Bravo’s word for it.
Anyway, it was a fun show and this season looks like another crazy time with Kathy. Welcome back, friend! We’ve missed you! ;-)
