Next Food Network Star: Two Chefs Are 86
Last night’s season premiere of Next Food Network Star was exciting and very fast-paced! In the two-hour show, the cast members had to create original items for a pot luck dinner for the judges, then decorate a wedding cake in 90 mintes!! And then they had 6 hours to cater a wedding for 100 people!
Talk about pressure! There were problems with adding chicken stock to vegetarian polenta, not buying enough food, not showing enough personality… It was a grueling set of tasks for the contestants!
After it all, the two chefs that were 86-ed were Vivien and Patrick. I was disappointed to see them both go, since they both seemed like they had great potential, but I wasn’t a judge… ;-)
So far, my money’s on the charismatic JAG and Tommy. I also like Paul.

I have never been so absolutely disgusted as I was with tonight’s show, To eliminate Adrian was really terrible. You are left with one chef whom I would not trust with a sharp knife, another who acts like a 3yr old, another who clearly cannot handle pressure and another who would go naked to get the job. Well, not my problem - I am so absolutely disgusted that the food channel is now banned in our home.

I honestly think that Adrien Sharp should have not been eliminated. He had great potential and he was used to being under pressure as some could not. Adrien is used to being on t.v. and should have deserved a second chance. Im very happy for Amy and all other contestants it was a test to see who deserved it more and in the end, it must have been the right choice. I still love to watch the food channel and I always will! I just thought thay Adrien should have been in the contest longer. =)
