We Finally Got to Meet the 18 Finalists ‘On the Lot’
This was the first episode of the series that aired in its actual time slot. We found out that Carrie Fisher and Garry Marshall will both be judges for the entire season, and that the third judge spot will change. Our hostess for the season will be Adrianna Costa.
In the first two audition shows, the third judge was Brett Ratner. Tonight’s episode had DJ Caruso as the third judge.
We got to meet each of the filmmakers and see a one-minute humorous short created by each.
No it’s up to us, the viewers to vote for our favorites. The easiest way to do that is to go to the web site and watch each of the videos and place your votes.
Tomorrow night’s episode will use our votes to eliminate the least popular three directors. So if you have a favorite, you’d better go vote so they can stay in the competition.

- Hilary (Francestown, NH): Bus #1 - I really didn’t enjoy it that much. I give it a thumb down.
- Marty (Renton, WA): The Big Bad Heist - I liked it. One thumb up.
- Will (Canyon, TX): Lucky Penny - I thought it was great! Two thumbs up!
- Jessica (Brooklyn, NY): …To Screw in a Light Bulb - I liked it. One thumb up.
- Mateen (Oakland, CA): Soft - I thought it was really good. Two thumbs up.
- Claudia (Sagheria, Italy): Blind Date - I liked it. One thumb up.
- Jason (Winchester, KY): Ghetta Rhoom - I wasn’t that impressed. One thumb down.
- David (Aurora, CO): File Size - I liked it. One thumb up.
- Zach (Vancouver, BC): Danger Zone - Fabulous!! My absolute favorite! All in one shot!! Can I give it three thumbs up when I only have two thumbs?
- Trever (Great Falls, MT): A Golf Story - I liked it. One thumb up.
- Shalini (Brooklyn, NY): Love in the Year 2007 - I loved it! Two thumbs up!
- Phil (Manchester, UK): Please Hold - I liked it! One thumb up.
- Shira-Lee (Johannesburg, South Africa): Check Out - Very funny! Two thumbs up!
- Sam (Mount Vernon, NY): Replication Theory - I like it. One thumb up.
Based on these one-minute shorts, I expect Kenny, Hilary and Jason to go home tomorrow night. I guess we’ll see if the rest of America agrees.
