Reality Remix’s Kennedy Talks About Dreamz and Survivor

by Lynn on May 17th, 2007

Kennedy

Kennedy, host of Reality Remix voices her opinion about the Survivor finale. Not surprisingly, she totally agrees with every person I’ve spoken to so far. But, in Kennedy’s characteristic way, she says it well:

When Dreamz won the final immunity challenge that had the final four hanging onto a rope on a board that grew steeper every five minutes I assumed Yau was safe. The same confidence and ease spread over my being that Edgardo must have felt when Alex played his turtle. I guess I have a rosey view of human nature because I assumed Dreamz’ promise to God was sincere and earnest. When Yau brokered the deal to give his new truck to Dreamz in exchange for the immunity necklace in the final four I thought it was brilliant strategy for Yau as well as a benevolent gesture toward Dreamz. Here is a kid who grew up homeless with a drug addicted mother and must be so thankful, not only for his survival but for his part on this Survivor, that he’d never make empty promises to the Almighty. Dreamz did not have his fingers crossed when he exclaimed, “Promise to God!” when Yau offered him the car, and based on his perspective and his appreciation for his family I have to believe he is a God fearing man. Dreamz also talked at length about doing the right thing for his son and honoring his word and went so far as to sum up his philosophy and intentions when he said, “I am an honorable person, I am noble, I am a truth-teller. I am Dreamz.”

Apparently being Dreamz is synonymous with being a spineless, lying, dishonorable piece of refuse, because Dreamz reneged on his promise and kept his immunity necklace. I was so disgusted when he back-pedaled and dissolved under the weight of his own selfishness. Fine, go back on your word, lie and show your son how unimportant integrity is in the human experience, but what about the truck? Of all the people who have played this game Dreamz should know when you have nothing in this world all you are left is what you are born with, all you have is your word. A person’s reputation is priceless and apparently Dreamz rep is worthless. He didn’t even have the nards to give Yau his truck back, which would have been a somewhat acceptable outcome of their failed deal. Now imagine a man asking his girlfriend to marry him with the only condition being her fidelity, and she turns around and coordinates a gang bang with the local arena football team. Obviously with her broken word and tattered cooter the engagement would not proceed, but can you imagine if she kept the ring? There would be outrage, riots in the streets, requests for arena football tickets. Dreamz had no reason to keep the truck, he had no need to break his deal with Yau (because he was NEVER going to win), and if he had kept his word and kept Yau in the game he would have been the biggest hero in Survivor history. Now Dreamz yellow bellied underhandedness will be the signpost all future Survivors are compared to, and when people talk about lying and manipulating in the game they will point to this betrayal which changes the game forever.

First of all survivor is a game. Everyone acts like Yaoman was so full of integrity but what about his decision to replace the immunity idol with a fake one.

Yauman was playing the game when he tempted Dreamz with the car. Dreamz strategy backfired because he figured Yao would be voted out. Yao was not trying to help dreamz he was setting him up. Why does everyone think he is so nice when he was playing the game just as diabolical and everyone else. He was playing a psychological game to the nineth power. Yao tempted the man and the man proved human. If someone had found the fake immunity idol that Yaoman planted and played it I guess that would have been fine. Dreamz played the game Yao played a game and lets not forget the show is edited. People saw what the producers wanted them to see. Why did they change he number of finalist from two to three. Could it be because they wanted Yao to win? We only know what they show us want they want us to see. It was a game just that a game and for the people sitting as judges were poor sports, self righteous and ignorant. SURVIVOR IS A GAME!
