Survivor: Fiji - A Horseman Gets the Boot

by Lynn on April 20th, 2007

Edgardo

The show began on day 24. Mookie was upset with Dreamz for switching his vote from Stacy to Michelle. Dreamz is still upset that the other guys didn’t tell him right away that they had the immunity idol.

Alex called out Mookie for hogging the immunity idol and told him the only way they could all trust each other was to rotate who keeps the idol each day. That way they would all know that they were in it together. Mookie wasn’t wild about that idea because he planned to use it for himself.

Earl was upset that Stacy wasn’t gone too. He and Yau Man had counted on Michelle as part of their alliance. Cassandra was the other member and then Boo approached them about him joining the alliance. Earl didn’t buy it that Boo was really with them but admitted that they did need his vote.

First came the reward challenge. They all had to answer questions privately, and then they all had to try to figure out what the group consensus was. The winner would get to spend the night on a 70-foot yacht and get to send one person to Exile Island.

Cassandra

Here were the group answers:

  • Who would you trust with your life? - Earl
  • Who are you least likely to invite to a family dinner? - Boo
  • Who most has a sense of entitlement? - Alex
  • Who would you most like to be stranded on an island with? - Yau Man
  • Who do you not want to see again after Survivor? - Stacy
  • Who smells the worst? - Dreamz
  • Who mistakenly believes that they are in control of this game? - Alex
  • Who has wasted this great opportunity? - Stacy
  • Who has surprised you the most in terms of their athleticism? - Yau Man

Cassandra won the challenge. She sent Mookie to Exile Island and then she found out that she would get to choose three people to go with her. Mookie was vowing to get revenge on Cassandra fro sending him to Exile Island.

Cassandra

Cassandra chose to take Dreamz, Boo and Yau Man with her on the yacht. Her strategy was to try to bring Boo and Dre into her alliance.

Yau Man and Cassandra were wooing Dreamz to their side. They were worried that he was really playing both sides.

on the yacht

Dreamz was waffling and they all wanted him to tell him which side he was on. The game is getting very political now. This is the part that gets interesting.

Dreamz told Cassandra and Earl that Mookie had the immunity idol. Now everybody knows they have it.

Yau Man

Next came the immunity challenge. They are competing for individual immunity from now on. Yau Man won the immunity necklace. The man is incredible!! Go, Yau Man!! :-)

Yau Man

Earl & Yau Man’s alliance agreed to vote off Alex. So Mookie gave Alex the immunity idol. Since they still thought that Dreamz was with them, they let him know what was happening. Dreamz went to the other group and told them that Alex had the idol, so they all decided to change votes to send Mookie out. This is getting fun!

The Four Horsemen decided to vote off Cassandra. At the last minute, Stacy convinced the rest of Earl’s group to vote off Edgardo. The thought was that they would catch them off guard.

Dreamz lied right to Alex and told him that the other group didn’t really trust him and that they didn’t know that Alex had the idol.

Since he had immunity, Yau Man said that it was the first time he had come to tribal counsel with normal heart rate and normal blood pressure. ;-)

Boo said a great thing. “This vote is gonna separate the snakes from the rats.” (I love that!!)

Alex played the immunity idol, thinking that the other group had all voted for him. The votes were read and Edgardo was sent to the jury.

Edgardo

The really funny thing was how everybody had a big smile on their face when Alex played the idol. Then when Mookie and Edgardo’s names came up, the smiles of the Four Horsemen went away. Earl & Yau Man’s team made them squander the idol. It was brilliant!!!

This season, the game looks like it’s going to be won by brains, not so much with brawn. What a cool season it’s finally turning out to be now that things are finally fair for everybody.

Since the idol was played, but not needed, it will be re-hidden and new clues put on Exile Island. Now that’s a twist I didn’t expect! This just gets more and more interesting…

Are you happy with the way things happened in this episode? Are you glad to see one of the Horsemen get the boot? Or would you rather see the other group go down? I’d love to know how you think about it. Leave a comment to let us all know!
