Survivor: Fiji - Commentary by Bruce Kanegai of Survivor: Panama
Survivor: Panama veteran, Bruce Kanegai sent me some great commentary about the 9th episode of Survivor: Fiji. Here it is in his characteristically cute style. I enjoy his humor and hope you will too.
By the way, I totally agree with his views on the show. He’s right, Yau Man is incredible. He truly shows that it doesn’t necessarily take brawn to excel at Survivor. Brains and personality take one much further most of the time. (Go, Yau Man!!)
GREAT SHOW. YEOW…YOWZA…YAU-MAN…HUZZA-HUZZA…BULA-BULA
When I looked up the word SURVIVOR in the Webster’s dictionary last night, It said: A YAU-MAN, someone who can find a Hidden Immunity Idol, smash boxes open on the corner, chops piñatas with a war-club, makes friends with big strong black men, throws fire-balls accurately, shoots arrows like Robin Hood, and throws spears through the hearts of the enemy. It is someone who OUTWITS, OUTPLAYS, and OUTLASTS all competitors. And that’s a fact Jack (Daniel’s).
Do you know why there are no action figures of the YAU-MAN at the Wal-Mart stores? It’s because I bought them all and plan to sell them at a premium on eBay.
The last 3 episodes have been great, especially Episode 9. A merge with everyone going to Exile Island first (my hometown) and then, back to Moto Island. The luxury honeymoon is definitely over and the real SURVIVOR show can begin with just a pot, flint, and machete. Sigh, it brings back memories. And that’s a fact Jack (Daniel’s).
BULA-BULA? It means Hello? What is this, the HELLO KITTY tribe? Is that the cutest, silliest, darling of a name tribe? It sounds like a Saturday cartoon show. Hmmm. Maybe that might be Mark Burnett’s new show. At least Stacy and Michelle painted a cute, silly, darling BULA-BULA flag. It doesn’t come close to the awesome, visual trembling flag of Gitano’s tribe on Panama Exile Island. And that’s a fact Jack.
BobDawg and Yoda must be fuming when YAU-MAN stole their lines and said it on national TV…”I thought you went to the DARKSIDE?”
What’s with Alex saying we are the four horsemen? I bet he doesn’t even know who they were from the Bible, the Yankees or Norte Dame? I think he meant the four Marx brothers. And that’s a fact Jack.
What the heck is Mookie telling Dreamz that he has the Hidden Immunity Idol or anyone? Is this becoming an Asian thing? Is Yul coaching him? (I told Becky, so you can tell Dreamz.) If I found the HII, I would have not said a word. Come to think of it Captain America Terry told everyone. He must be Asian. And that’s a fact Jack (Daniel’s 12 year single barrel).
Am I getting more confused or is it in my dreams or Dreamz? He didn’t like how Stacy treated Cassandra and him, but he voted off Michelle (the cute Hello Kitty). It will be a major impact. You played awesome Michelle. Well, there are 5 players plus the Marx Brothers. YAU-MAN, Earl the Pearl, and Groucho will be in the Final Four. And that’s a fact Jack, straight up.
Thanks so much for the great commentary, Bruce! You’re the best!! :-)
