Survivor: Fiji Update - More Bad Luck
According to E! Online, the Survivor cast and crew are safe for the time being, as reported yesterday. However, there’s a new problem brewing for the production of the 14th season of the show.
Survivor may still be under the gun, figuratively at least. Fiji Times Online reported last week that multiple landowners in Labasa, the largest town on Vanua Levu, have accused the Native Land Trust Board of negotiating a bum deal with the show’s crew, saying filming has migrated into “taboo areas” and violating the villagers’ ancestral lands.
A lot of money will have to be spent to carry on ritual ceremonies to clear the land of any curses left behind by the Survivor shoot, a village spokesman said.
First, a coup, then this. I guess for the Survivor show, the number 14 is the unlucky one. Let’s just hope that all stay safe and the show continues production, uninterrupted.
