Season Premiere of Trial by Choir
I absolutely love reality shows that let us go along for the ride with real people learning and growing in a new and unfamiliar situation. That’s why I want to say that you should definitely tune in to the series, Trial by Choir on TLC.
The show is based in the inner city of Boston and involves a youth counselor and a professional voice teacher taking on a group of troubled teens with a passion for singing, in the hopes of making them into a good performing choir.
The first episode showed the shaky start of the group with some of the teens’ personal problems highlighted. The teacher, Jerome, is new to working with troubled teens too and had his moments where he wanted to give up too. I have a feeling that if this series is anything like the past reality series TLC has aired (namely, The Monastery, The Messengers, etc.) it will have me tearing up by mid season and in a full-on bawling session by the finale.
Be sure to catch the show on TLC on Sunday evenings.
