Reality TV’s Turkey of the Year Award Nominees
MSNBC.com has announced this year’s Reality TV Turkey of the Year nominations. Each year, they choose the worst Reality TV moments, participants and decisions.
This year offered no lack of possible winners. Here are the nominees:
- Paula Abdul in American Idol - need I even explain this one?
- Katie Lee Joel, Season 1’s host of Top Chef - does the word “boring” come to mind?
- Jeffrey Sebelia, winner of Season 3 of Project Runway - don’t we all just hate it when the bad guy wins?
- Whoever canceled Starting Over - This is my choice since, thanks to TiVo, I never missed a single episode in the show’s three years on air. I still wish they would bring it back!!
- Mark Burnett of Survivor for the ridiculous and revolting idea of separating the tribes by ethnicity - what’s next? Separating them by religions? By sexual orientations? By height? Hair color? How wrong can you get?
- And (drum roll, please…) the final nominee is the Real World series. Hasn’t it been beaten into the ground by now?
Honorable mentions went to:
- Flavor Flav for being what may be the most disgusting TV personality of the year. I couldn’t agree more.
- Bravo for overplaying Project Runway and Top Chef reruns
- Peter of the Amazing Race for being the least supportive partner ever! I totally agree…what a jerk!
- Erica and Lisa of The Bachelor Rome for being condescending and self important…need anyone say more?
